Portland and Paulson make $31 million Major League Soccer deal

Portland's City Council signed on to a $31 million deal with Portland Timbers owner Merritt Paulson, taking PGE Park from the minor leagues to Major League Soccer. “Today, the city council scored a big victory for Portland, for soccer and for our economy,” Paulson said in a statement.
