Spanish tapas

Published Feb. 25, 2010 at 4:17 a.m.
The Casa Naranja is a small unpretentious Spanish restaurant and bar on Mississippi Avenue which serves various tapas...The night we went we tried the tiger shrimp with fried anchovies and garlic sherry sauce, the Dungeness crab ravioli with sundried tomato toast points, and the house bruschetta with smoked sweet onions and feta cheese, all very good...This was enough for a couple...However, one can order the tapas as needed, so there's no problem in asking for a few at a time...They have good local brews on tap and a variety of wines as well...The night we were there we had the Total Domination IPA from the Ninkasi Brewery in Eugene, which was very nice...There aren't enough Spanish restaurants around for my taste, so this is a nice addition to Portland dining.
